We arrive in Vittel and park near the free Bonne Source parking lot (like all parking in the town). Then we head for the city center, a 2-minute walk away. The corso consists of around 20 groups and a dozen floats stretching for around 1 km. We’ve been told it’s one of the biggest in the Vosges, so of course we can’t wait!
The buzz is on, with onlookers crowding the streets to get the best view of the parade.
This year, it’s even more symbolic, as the carnival celebrates its 30th anniversary! Over 800 volunteer participants, local associations, musical groups, brass bands and processions have been busy for a very long time to offer the public the best show for eyes and ears.
