We’re taking you to Vittel Racecourse. Built on the initiative of Jean Bouloumié, this racecourse – part of which is listed as a Historic Monument – comes to life in the summer. Whilst the races remain the main attraction, behind-the-scenes tours, hat competitions, workshops and a variety of entertainment delight visitors of all ages.

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Vittel Racecourse

Enjoy a unique experience with the Hippodrome VIP Pass and go behind the scenes at Vittel Racecourse on a race day. Accompanied by a guide, explore the areas usually reserved for professionals: the stables, the weigh-in room and the parade ring, where the horses make their final preparations before the start.

Extend the experience by boarding the pace car to follow a race as close as possible to the horses. A unique immersion that will allow you to feel all the speed, power and intensity of the competition.

The VIP Pass also includes a meal prepared by a caterer, served directly at the racecourse, so you can make the most of the day in a friendly atmosphere. Combining exploration, fine dining and entertainment, enjoy an unforgettable experience at the heart of Vittel’s horse racing.

Everything you need to know about Vittel Racecourse

The racecourse opened on 15 July 1904. The main grandstand, meanwhile, dates from 1909.

The weighing building, the betting office and the main grandstand are listed as Historic Monuments

Make sure you check carefully if you’d like to go there and enjoy the entertainment. It depends on the race schedule.

It was the architect Fernand César who designed all the buildings listed as Historic Monuments.

Food and drink at Vittel Racecourse

Come along to a day of racing at Vittel Racecourse and discover the world of horse racing. Before each race, head to the parade ring to watch the horses and jockeys as they make their final preparations. It’s the perfect time to admire the horses up close and soak up the atmosphere of the races.

For an even more immersive experience, take the opportunity to follow a race by car, right up close to the horses. Seated in a racecourse vehicle, experience the thrill of the race as you drive alongside the track and witness the full power and speed of the horses right at the heart of the action.
