The gallery, a symbol of the resort’s spa life, is listed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. Through its renovation project, the City of Vittel wished to preserve and enhance its heritage, as well as pursue its economic and tourism development objectives.

Erected in 1856 under the aegis of Louis Bouloumié, the gallery underwent profound architectural modifications until 1970.

Vittel’s grand thermal gallery was built in 3 phases during 1897, 1901 and 1905, with the contribution of Charles Garnier. This metal structure created the link between the spa buildings, their annexes and the park, and became the new emblem of the resort. In 1930, the entire metal framework was clad in stucco and the pillars encased in concrete.

Just a few minutes is all it takes to reach the town center and its shops, the park, the spa, a children’s playground, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a golf course or even the heritage museum, the water lookout and even the casino!
